In accordance with our founding principle of Scholarship, Kappa Epsilon Zeta has made a commitment to assist with the goals of young women pursuing a goal of higher education.  The Kappa Epsilon Zeta Scholarship Fund established in January 2003 to provide assistance to young college minded women in their pursuit of higher education.  As a part of the most honorable Sorority, (whose legacy began on the college campus of Howard University and has extended itself over the years to encompass women who have graduated from college), our members have experienced first-hand the financial challenges associated with acquiring advanced degrees. The Kappa Epsilon Zeta Scholarship Fund was established specifically to help young women of color in the Bronx in their pursuit of higher education and to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with tuition costs. The KEZ Scholarship Fund also helps to serve as a resource for academic financial aid.  Our recipients are high school females who participate in community service; prove to be role models for other young women who have excelled academically.  Each year, Scholarship applications are accepted from January 16th year to April 15th.  The annual recipient is announced in May and in June several Sorors take the recipient, her parents and invited guests out of a luncheon to celebrate her accomplishments, to familiarize the family with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and to establish with the recipient that KEZ Sorors desire to be a part of her collegiate journey through graduation.  The KEZ Scholarship Fund is dedicated to providing monetary assistance in addition to serving as a resource for obtaining other financial support towards education. The KEZ Scholarship Fund is its own entity and is utilized for charitable and educational purposes only.  Since 2005  the board has awarded $18, 000.00 to eight deserving Bronx women!
