ABOUT

Mission
The Kappa Epsilon Zeta Scholarship Fund (“KEZSF”) mission is to develop strategies to move women and girls towards long–term economic security. KEZSF provides direct service programs, and has a strong interest in community organizing and advocacy strategies in order to bring about meaningful and sustainable institutional change. We aim to change policies and systems, build community, foster collaborations, enhance leadership skills and knowledge, and encourage our participants to become more engaged members of their communities.

KEZSF is particularly interested in gender, racial, economic and social justice and strives towards eradicating the root causes of poverty and to achieve equity and fairer policies for communities marginalized by gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class, religion, and immigration or citizenship status.

Purpose
The Kappa Epsilon Zeta Scholarship Fund was established in January 2005 to provide assistance to young college minded women in their pursuit of higher education. Since 1920, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. has based its foundation on the ideals of service, sisterly love, scholarship and finer womanhood. In accordance with these ideals, we have made a commitment to assist with the goals of young women pursuing a goal higher education. Our recipient will be a high school female who participates in community service, proves to be a role model for other young women and has excelled academically. The KEZ Scholarship Fund is dedicated to providing monetary assistance in addition to serving as a resource for obtaining other financial support towards education. The KEZ Scholarship Fund is for charitable and educational purposes only.
